The Quebec climate is very cold during winter time. The temperature can go down to -30 celcius and summers are hot and humid. The vines are all covered up by snow wich makes a good insulation. The microclimate of the island protects us diring the spring and the fall from frosts. In fact, for the last 15 years, spring buds and mature grapes in the fall never suffered from frost.
The soil is composed of silt, clay and gravel. The slope toward the river gives a good draining and maximum of sunshine.
